High School Musical. Who says we have to let it go?

I just got back from seeing HSM 3: Senior Year and omfg, it was beyond words a-mazing. It might be better than the original. And this is coming from a girl who has seen the original an unhealthy amount of times.
To help you understand the extent of how much I loved it, let me just say that ever since I left the theatre, I’ve had this gigantic nerdy grin on my face. I'm still overwhelmed by it all. They totally stepped up their game this time around and it makes what was already a fun and cheesy musical franchise a complete guilty pleasure fest. One of my favourite numbers has to “I Want It All” where Sharpay and Ryan dance out their fantasies about Broadway. To quote Ms. Evans herself, it’s downright fabulous.
Other highlights of this fantasmo movie event (yes, I said event) include the very NSYNC-esque “Scream” complete with what seems like the rotating room from the “Bye Bye Bye” video. A “Night to Remember” is also top notch because quite frankly, it features what may be the best version of Zac Efron I have ever seen. Picture this: Zac doing velvet thrusts in a retro powder blue suit. Life really doesn’t get better than that.
I think what I really loved about this final trip to East High is that it really wrapped things up smoothly. I mean, sure, they are definitely going to extend the franchise (because, I mean, Disney just loves to exhaust things) but we know that Zac, Vanessa, Ashley and the rest of the senior class really are graduating from the HSM franchise. As geeky as this sounds, at the end when they were all singing about how they wish the rest of their life could be a high school musical, I kind of teared up. I know that they have to break free (J LOVE THAT SONG) but this Wildcat is really going to miss these guys and their rando musical outbursts.
