High School Musical. Who says we have to let it go?

I just got back from seeing HSM 3: Senior Year and omfg, it was beyond words a-mazing. It might be better than the original. And this is coming from a girl who has seen the original an unhealthy amount of times.

To help you understand the extent of how much I loved it, let me just say that e
ver since I left the theatre, I’ve had this gigantic nerdy grin on my face. I'm still overwhelmed by it all. They totally stepped up their game this time around and it makes what was already a fun and cheesy musical franchise a complete guilty pleasure fest. One of my favourite numbers has to “I Want It All” where Sharpay and Ryan dance out their fantasies about Broadway. To quote Ms. Evans herself, it’s downright fabulous.

Other highlights of this fantasmo movie event (yes, I said event) include the very NSYNC-esque “Scream” complete with what seems like the rotating room from the “Bye Bye Bye” video. A “Night to Remember” is also top notch because quite frankly, it features what may be the best version of Zac Efron I have ever seen. Picture this: Zac doing velvet thrusts in a retro powder blue suit. Life really doesn’t get better than that.

I think what I really loved about this final trip to East High is that it really wrapped things up smoothly. I mean, sure, they are definitely going to extend the franchise (because, I mean, Disney just loves to exhaust things) but we know that Zac, Vanessa, Ashley and the rest of the senior class really are graduating from the HSM franchise. As geeky as this sounds, at the end when they were all singing about how they wish the rest of their life could be a high school musical, I kind of teared up. I know that they have to break free (J LOVE THAT SONG) but this Wildcat is  really going to miss these guys and their rando musical outbursts.

P.S. - I have THE biggest craving to watch Grease 2 now. Actually. I think it's because the credits of the movie had a very Rydell High type of yearbook format. Or maybe it's just because that movie kickass some serious guilty pleasure ass. Either way, I want a cool rider and I want it now.

HSM meets John Cusack?

Okay so Ashley, Vanessa and Zac weren’t exactly hanging out with Lloyd Dobler, but who can think of Serendipity 3 without thinking about the great rom-com of the same name? When I saw these pics on Just Jared, I couldn't help but squeal inappropriately. I mean, I love HSM to bits but Serendipity 3 might be my favourite quirky NY spot ever. That Peanut Butter Frrrozen Hot Chocolate is my life!

P.S. - I luuuuurve how Just Jared made the connection between Serendipity 3 and HSM 3. So nerdy and great.

P.P.S - I'm feeling the Tiz's (j'adore Perez's rando pet celeb names) new do. How bout you? (I'm a poet and I didn't even know it.)

This pictures, from ELLE magazine are just flat-out gorgeous. As always, Zac is a force of infinite hotness. And even though I slightly hate Vanessa (or Baby V as she likes to be called for some reason), she looks really cute in these pics - espesh in the yellow number. And well, Ashley always gets my vote - nose job and all.

My only real qualm about these photos is that there is a serious lack of Corbin, Lucas and Monique. I understand that these three are the biggest stars, but it would have been nice to see all the Wildcats out for the shoot.

I guess I’ll just have to wait for “HSM 3” for the big reunion.  My god, it’s gonna be huge.

P.S. – Listening to the Jo Bros new CD and holy crap, it’s amazing. I’m really loving “BB Good” and “Shelf”. If this CD is any indication of how their concert is gonna go, I think I might die of excitement!

P.S. - Thanks to justjared.com for the pics!
