 Dear American Teen Cast, 

I accept the fact that you are trying to make us feel nostalgic for good old high school drama - a genre that I whole-heartedly cherish alongside my "I heart Jake Ryan" t-shirt - but I think you're crazy to rip off the poster from one of the most classic movies of all time. We should see you as you are, as unique look at the insanity that is adolescence, and not as a rip-off of a timeless John Hughes movie. But regardless of this, I have to say, in the simplest terms, I am completely psyched to see this Sundance darling of a movie.   Because as the oh-so-wise Brian Johnson once told us, each one of us is a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal.

P.S - On second thought, if you snuck in a hallway montage to a certain SImple Minds tune or a serious library floor conversation scene somewhere in the movie, I wouldn't hate it. :-)
